Fundraising & Events

June 2010 - New Fundraising Officer

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Kathryn Gee, I am Freddie’s Mum. I have volunteered to be the Fundraiser Office on the pre-school committee and would like to thank everyone who has offered to help me with this daunting task!

My main aim is that, whatever we do, we have fun doing it. So please, if there is anything anybody can do to help, I would be very grateful - more hands make for less work.

We also will be arranging a Coffee Morning before the summer holidays – Date to be arranged.

On Tuesday 3rd August, we are staging a Pirates Challenge from 2pm till 4.30pm in preparation for Carnival Week.

On Saturday 7th August we would like to enter the children in The Grand Carnival Procession with a theme of Under The Sea, which should be great fun for everyone.

I really hope everyone will be able to come along and support our effort. More details to follow...

Sunday 30th August: Party by the Pond' - 3pm till late

Stoke Gabriel's answer to Glastonbury! Local bands, local beer, local food all rolled in to one big family friendly festival. See the web site for more info: partybythepond.webs.com

October 24th - Pig Racing in the village hall

Due to a clash of events in June we have pushed this event back until the autumn so watch out for more info coming soon!
