Committee agreed to the purchase of a new door mat alarm, to ensure child safety and security at the main doorway and a new doorbell for parent's use. Action: Health and Safety Officer
The following items have been purchased by the pre-school: a wooden lightweight wendy-house, a farmyard set, emotion puppets, 5 multi-cultural dolls, computer software "phonics" game, child-friendly keyboard and mouse, a DVD of "JollyPhonics" and dressing up clothes.
The new Admissions, Bookings and Charging Policy was discussed and adopted by the Committee to the Operational Plan. This included detailed procedures relating to: Admissions, Session Charges, Free Places, Additional Services, Lunchtime Charges, Additional Sessions, Cancellation of Sessions and Lunchtimes and Long term Absence. Policy to be reviewed at the next AGM.
The need for a new piece of play equipment in the orchard was discussed, following the removal of a fallen tree. It was agreed that a letter be sent to the Parish Council requesting their support in investigating this matter further and asking for financial support in purchasing a new item. Action: Secretary
A Premises sub-committee group was created in view of the complex and time-consuming nature of this issue. This group consisting of Kate Peakman, Marie Hazell, Laura Kies and Kate Marke will meet for the first time on 27th June.
In view of the Government's new Healthy Eating Guidelines the Health and Safety Officer will look into this matter further and how it applies to Pre-school. Action: Health and Safety Officer
During Carnival Week, the Pre-school's theme will be Africa.
